House with the Vines

Man over-powers nature.

INTERVENTION: The image in the middle is taping a leaf back onto the house.

Man and nature working together.

METAPHOR: The image on the far right is a picture taken by google earth last year sometime, with vines.

Nature takes over man-made house.

Just about everyday I have to walk past this house to get to where I live, and what made this house stand out to me the most was the fact that the entire front of the house was covered with vines. This house had such a unique quality, and recently the vines were torn down so that the house could be sold. For my intervention, I went back to this house and taped a leaf onto the house as a memory of what once was. I also wanted to put back what man had already taken down. Of course I can't do this entirely, so the one leaf is more of a symbol of that idea.
