Amanda Gatton,3 Ways 3 Dys

Way 1 (Riding passenger in a car)
On the walk we did during class I was most interested in the piles of gray rock, I named Cricket mountain. There were a lot of chirping crickets in this area hence the name. On the way back (a drive) my main goal was to be able to tell if I could hear the crickets while riding passenger in a car. I listened hard at that particular spot but I do not believe I heard crickets. I did hear a clank noise I was trying to convince myself that was the crickets. However I think now that was just the hum of a car. Lack if cricket noise or not I did notice some new stuff on the drive. To start the big sculpture by Starbucks is an arrow. I just saw brown in my hurry to keep on time. (I got lost on my first walk for about 15 minutes) so I ran a little late. Also from the car the space felt shorter, and I couldn’t grasp as much detail. I saw some of my friends from MIAD as we drove past so they distracted my concentration for a bit. The buildings read more as buildings this time instead of addresses, obstacles that made it so long to walk around. I thought it was nicer, because my leg didn’t hurt this time. I saw a black lab, which was jumping a little as he was walked. We also passed that vehicle that people ride on and drink.

Way 2(walk)
This time when I walked the road I saw a cricket from cricket mountain. At least I thought it was a cricket, it was the right size and it hopped. I saw it because I stayed there longer (no time limit). Also while waiting in this spot I noticed weird brown flowers, plants that had tops that looked like grain. Despite my best efforts I could not find a neat rock I saw on my first walk. I presume I was looking in the wrong place or someone moved it. I watched the “man power” building again and tried to name all the countries of the flags that were on the lawn. I knew a few by heart so I think I got 65% right. I was kind of hunger so I thought about stopping at that market with fruit, but then I realized I forgot my wallet so I did not. This walk made me think about places I might want to visit in the future. I liked the old advertising that was still on some of the buildings. That made me think about what the store was like 80 or so years ago.

Way 3 (driving)
Yes I consider this a different way than ridding in a car because I hate driving. I always drive the speed limit so people hate me…anyways. While driving I stayed in the right lane whenever I could mostly to concentrate on the road itself. It’s weird how roads felt like they were made to go around buildings not the other way around. I never knew how strange the curves in the road were, honestly what’s with all the curves! It made me think about how horses traveled them. They would be more fun to drive… I kind of got lost right before that garden area, I was in the wrong lane and had to go back and get on the next road to find my path again.
